Nodding Off
As a group in our church have been working through the Six Steps to Loving Your Church course we’ve been thinking about different practical ways to love our church community. How we can do this before church, during church, and after church.
Here’s a helpful article referred to in the course about ways to encourage the preacher. Just by being aware of how we listen!
2017 CQ Women’s Convention
The 2017 Central Queensland Women’s Convention is on Saturday 11 March in Rockhampton. It’s a quality day for women from across our region to be encouraged and equipped as disciples of Jesus. Guest speaker Di Warren will be teaching from God’s word about decisions – making choices that honour God.
There’s already plenty of women from our church going, so don’t miss out. Make sure you get your tickets before Thursday to get the early bird pricing.
Six Steps to Loving Your Church
Jesus calls his people to love one another. But when it comes to loving one another at church on a Sunday, we often don’t know where to start.
Six Steps to Loving Your Church is a practical training course that helps us to think through how to love one another better.
Running for an hour over six Sundays beginning 12 February, SSLYC begins with the Bible and then helps us to think what this looks like in Gladstone. We also get to learn from one another as we do it!
Send us an email to sign up.
Sunday School and Creche are back!
Our kids are back to school this week and Sunday School is back too! We’re excited to have three classes this year that will help reduce the age range in each class. The kids will be learning about Jesus from Luke’s gospel and how Jesus changes everything.
Sunday School kicks off at 9am in the Gladstone hall. Pre-school and primary school aged kids are welcome (and so are parents!).
Creche is for pre-school and prep kids and runs during the service for parents and carers who find that helpful.
